Linux crash

when updating, my Linux got stuck. I forcibly turned it off. after that, it doesn't load. but arch-chroot works 1. I can't answer on the forum. Why??? 2. I tried to reinstall all the packages, but pacman gives errors that it cannot find the libraries. the screenshot will be below. 3. I have an encrypted disk. now I'm trying to do something with a USB stick. everything works well (in terms of standard packages).

pacman -Sy archlinux-keyrign

Re: Linux crash

That would be from before reinstalling all packages, right? What happens when you do that?

Please use code tags when pasting output like this.

Everything broke after the update. Now I'm trying to simply reinstall the packages. I think this will help. But pacman points out mistakes. So there's nothing I can do

Re: Linux crash

I forgot to mention. It is also important to me that all programs and data are preserved

Re: Linux crash

anything in your /home isn't going to be touched by package reinstallation operations.

Well, that's why I accepted attempts to reinstall packages smile

Re: Linux crash

re-install all packages
You might have to use pacman-static or the pacman of the install iso (no chroot!) along --sysroot or, if your installation is too FUBAR'd --root and --cachedir

Do do have any idea what might have corrupted all those files?
(Power loss, reboot using the power button, fragile filesystem, nvme, too aggressive SSD trimming, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/SMART )

Re: Linux crash

Power loss, reboot using the power button

Yes. I rebooted using the power button. But I can’t understand why the bootloader stopped seeing Linux

Now I'm fiddling with pacman. I install all the packages one by one. Some packages produce even more errors. But from the conclusion I realized that for this package to work, another package is needed as a dependency. Well, I'm going through everything smile

I really admire Arch Linux. This is the best Linux I've tried. I've been jumping from Linux to Linux for over a year now. Arch is the best. In the future, I want to fully understand Linux down to the point of writing drivers. Now this is my dream. I really want to contribute (sorry for being off topic)

Re: Linux crash

I was unable to successfully reinstall all packages. I reinstalled the packages I could. I also reinstalled the kernel ( linux ). That helped.

Now everything is working and I'm booted. And now it remains to correct the remaining errors ( ldconfig: File /usr/lib/lib... is empty, not checked )
