Yesterday, I tried upgrading my system with pikaur.
As lib32-alsa-lib requires alsa-lib=1.2.11 which is a too old version for the rest of the packages, I could not update.
I decided to remove steam and lib32-alsa-lib to upgrade my system.
I would like to install steam again. What can I do? Here is the output of pikaur -S steam:
[sudo] password for kolmogorov:

there is nothing to do
I guess that steam-cmd and steam-native-runtime could be alternatives.

Step 1: USE PACMAN, NOT PIKAUR
Step 2: Make sure your pacman.conf is sane. testing repos are all or nothing.

Here is my pacman.conf. I do not see anything suspicious. I tried with pacman too without luck. No need to shout in all caps …
[options]
HoldPkg = pacman glibc
Architecture = auto
CheckSpace
ParallelDownloads = 6
SigLevel = Required DatabaseOptional
LocalFileSigLevel = Optional
[core]
Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
[extra]
Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
[multilib-testing]
Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
[multilib]
Include = /etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist

I misinterpreted the answer from Scimmia's. I thought "all or nothing" was referring to the support of the steam package (in the sense, either it works or it doesn't).
Read the wiki, added core-testing and extra-testing to the configuration and installed Steam again. Thanks.
