Microphone does not want to work (it's detected but does not record anything).

Have you any "missing firmware" messages when mkinitcpio generate kernel image? I had similar "Not enough bandwidth" problem with samsung USB microphone because xhci_pci was missing. After installing firmware then microphone miraculously started working
