RESOLVED: Lost access - FaceTimeHD Camera - Arch 6.7 - No Camera Found

I have tried pretty much everything I've found that made any sense. Then, uninstalled and reinstalled again in keeping with these instructions... https://github.com/patjak/facetimehd/wi … ed-on-arch

$ modprobe facetimehd

modprobe: FATAL: Module facetimehd not found in directory /lib/modules/6.7.0-arch3-1

$ lsmod | grep facetimehd

No result.

$ v4l2-ctl --list-devices

Cannot open device /dev/video0, exiting.

l think that something must have changed in 6.7, but no one else that I have found has posted on that yet. So, maybe it is me despite my efforts.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Journal - http://0x0.st/H0fP.txt

I also ran this... (as instructed here: https://github.com/patjak/facetimehd/wi … ot-created)

$ sudo modprobe -a v4l2-common videobuf2-dma-sg videobuf2-core videobuf2-v4l2

modprobe: WARNING: Module v4l2-common not found in directory /lib/modules/6.7.0-arch3-1
modprobe: WARNING: Module videobuf2-core not found in directory /lib/modules/6.7.0-arch3-1

I still have no camera after several two additional updates and 10 days have past.

Am I by myself?

Read the AUR comments if you're using out of tree kernel drivers: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/bcwc-pcie-git -- that driver doesn't support kernels 6.7 anymore and you'd have to find a maintained fork.

I'm not sure fully what that means but it is a lead. I do have bcwc-pcie-git installed. Formerly, I was out of leads. So, this is progress.

I will start by looking for an alternative.

Thank you!
