[Solved] Why do we have apt and dnf in the repos?

So a while back I happened to be on the main page and saw apt was just updated, initially assuming it is just another package with the same name but no, it is the actual debian package manager. For the sake of it I searched for dnf and curiously enough, found that as well.

Searched the internet a bit but was unable to find anything. Nothing on the wiki as well.

So, anyone have a clue about this?

both apt & dnf are listed as optional depeends for mkosi .

The archwiki on mkosi explicitly mentions dnf and apt.

Maybe some of the devs want to be able to run ostree images for other distros.

Ah, I am sorry, I did not notice that. Thank you! Should I just delete the thread?

Not needed, if you're satisfied with the answers mark it as solved.

(edit first post of this thread and prepend [Solved] to the title )
