Speakers Won't Play On MSI RealTek Audio But Headphones Work

Pavucontrol shows audio is playing, alsamixer says everything's unmuted with the internal speaker connected, and the sound card is detected successfully, but the audio still won't play through the actual speakers. Something strange I found from the arch linux wiki was that I don't have an asound file or an asoundrc. I downloaded both firmware and sof-firmware as well as installed pipewire but nothing worked so any help would be sincerely appreciated. Also, recently discovered audio works through headphones.

I also don't have those files. Please open alsamixer, press F5 to display all settings and look if you can find some switch for headphones/speakers like here:

I switch it with arrow up button. On the left there is also "HP/Speaker Auto Detect" function that I don't use but maybe it is causing troubles for you.

Remove the file/kernel parameter where you're setting dmic_detect=0 and reboot
