Hello,
I am an upstream maintainer regularly using Debian.
I couldn't find an official document/guideline/policy related to Arch about AppStream metadata. So I have to ask. Regarding to some postings it seems that the location of AppStream metadata xml files in the filesystem is at /usr/share/app-info/xmls . Is this information correct?
Why is it that way? Debian use a different location.

https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/an … ream-data/ -- look at the file list.
Why does it matter? They will and are going to be different for every distribution depending on their repository format/model. Your upstream tool shouldn't inherently care and just provide a proper metadata xml.

What list? Sorry. It seems to be a package.

Very good point.

There's a button/hyperlink to show a file list -- but this also has a more direct endpoint: https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/an … ata/files/
