Disable touchpad while typing

I need a way to disable my touchpad while typing. I tried touchpad-indicator, after reading it does this, but all it did was create a tray icon for me. The preferences option didn't give me any interface to interact with. I also found syndaemon, but it only works with synaptic touchpads.

Are there any other options?

Re: Disable touchpad while typing

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Laptop#Touchpad leads to https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Libinput. When you're back for round 2, specify Xorg or Wayland.

Re: Disable touchpad while typing

Edit: Ignore anything I had here before. Apparently my libinput installation was messed up, because I had some synaptic drivers as well.
Libinput seems to be doing a great job of suppressing the touchpad. I'm trying to trigger it right now while typing and it's ignoring me.
And it's working with my xinput scripting.

Thanks.
