[SOLVED] Unexpected picom running default configuration on startup

I have picom installed, and for whatever reason it automatically starts when I start i3. I don't have it in my i3 config or sddm Xsetup script. Ialso don't have any picom services in systemd.
The only useful information I have which is relevant to this (other than calling pacman -Syu) is the info top tells me:

program: command: user:
picom picom cap (the name of my user)

Any idea why this might be happening?

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Autost … rg_startup

i3 supports its own stuff and xdg autostart and I guess SDDM sources .xprofile.
"ps fax" will print a process hierarchy.
