[SOLVED] After upgrade to plasma-6, why still a lot of kf5 packages?

Hi!

This question is most likely due to my Ignorance, but I would be happy if someone could help me understand.

I upgraded to the new plasma6. Yet, there are still a whole number of plasma5 and kf5 related packages on my system, as well as their "6" variants. What is the reason that those packages are still there? Are they needed for anything else, perhaps other software that still uses Qt5? Though I thought that Qt5 and plasma5 (and therefore the plasma-framework5) are unrelated?

Those are libraries which are still needed by KF5 applications. Even if they're unused on your system they're not going to be automatically removed, you need to do it yourself.

Thank you for the reply @arojas, and for all the hard work bringing us Plasma 6! I checked for orphans and booted what I thought was safe to boot.
