I updated from Plasma 5 to Plasma 6 on my laptop (not yet on my workstation, so I only have one example of update so far).
I noticed that Discover in Plasma 6 seems to have lost track of the packages that were previously installed via Discover in Plasma 5. Is that normal? I install very few packages via Discover, but I had installed some icon sets and themes.
Said installed packages are still installed though, but Discover shows an empty list.

If your themes, icons, widgets, etc. are not Plasma6/KF6-compatible, they will probably not be listed as installable. This was announced many months ago. Custom, user-produced/shared sets are being gradually upgraded and new ones produced, though, I have noticed in Discover.

Well, that could be the cause, but I have also just installed a widget via Discover in Plasma 6, Thermal Monitor, it is compatible (and I suppose it wouldn't be listed in Discover if it wasn't) and while it got installed, Discover doesn't show it in the "installed" list either. If I search for this widget again in Discover, it appears with a trash bin icon, showing that it is indeed installed. I think there must be something wrong with the "installed" section in Discover.

Yep, that has happened to me. I had 1 NordVPN widget installed after the update (clean install/testing team), which shows in the system tray but not as-installed in Discover. The themes & icons I installed afterwards aren't listed either, but when I go to them under Plasma Icons or Themes in Discover, they do show as installed. But I am in Testing, which may or maynot have an impact since Discover is at the same incremental pkg no., either way.

I'm on the released Extra packages for Plasma, not Testing.
Wondering if it may be an issue specifically for items in the "Plasma modules" category. I also noticed that many, if not most items in this category would pop up a KNewStuff "Bad URI" error message when clicking on them.
