[PARTIALY SOLVED] Blackscreen on lockscreen after upgrading to plasma6

After upgraded to plasma 6, the lock screen becomes a blackscreen. Nothing is on the screen except a mouse cursor. However, if I blindly type my password, I can still unlock it, and `loginctl unlock-session` on tty works.

My GPU is Intel UHD 715 and RTX 4070 laptop. I'm using plasma on X11.

Same for me, Plasma 6 on X11, black screen with cursor, but when I switch to another tty and back several times the screen starts to show.
I also only get this when the screen is locked automatically, the issue doesn't appear when lock/sleep is triggered manually.

This problem seems to be completely random. My lockscreen has a chance to  become a black screen both when the screen locks automatically and locked manually.

It seems that this can be solved by switching to another plasma theme and then switching back. Since the behavior of the lockscreen is controlled by plasma workspace theme, switching themes might hopefully overwrite some incompatible configurations. I tried this and black screen hasn't appeared so far. But it takes some time to make sure that it has been solved, since this problem seems to be random.

I'm exhibiting a similar behavior on X11.
When I lock it, my screen gets black. When I randomly smash my keyboard and mouse, after like 15 seconds the lock screen appears. When I enter my password, it does get unlocked, but the screen goes black again. After smashing the mouse and kb again for another 15 seconds, I finally get to my unlocked desktop.

I changed my plasma workspace theme to Oxygen, logged off, relogged in, and then switch back to the breeze theme, then the lock screen works in most cases. This seems to be a bug of Breeze Plasma theme. I tried Oxygen theme and some 3rd party themes, lockscreen all works under them. The black screen problem only appears under Breeze.

Plasma doesn't clear caches from old versions, and those caches might have compatibility problems.

This unfortunately still does not seem to work, here's what I did:
1. deleted all *.kcache files in ~/.cache
2. changed system theme to oxygen, then back to breeze dark
3. rebooted

Unfortunately, after reboot, the issue is still present.

EDIT: I've just updated my laptop to KDE 6, it has the almost same issue, except that I cannot "revive" it when it goes to blacksreen by mashing keys and mouse.

It worked for me, but after another reboot, it instantly went back to a black screen when locking again.

I have the same issues: Random occurence of black screen with cursor, no unlock screen. Once a message showed up to unlock my screen with loginctl unloc-session 1, but only once. Since then I unlock it that way if it happens.

All my packages are up to date. I'm on a wayland plasma 6 session. Intel Core i5 13th gen. (Thinkpad X13 Yoga)

Tried that and it still didn't work...it appeared to work at first, but that didn't survive a reboot.  As near as I can tell, it's a problem with the Breeze theme.  Oxygen doesn't behave this way, and neither does Reactionary Plus (an additional theme I downloaded).

As near as I can tell, it's a problem with the Breeze theme.

I came here looking for help after encountering this bug. It's indeed a problem with Breeze. Just use any other theme. Personally, I installed Manjaro's modified Breeze theme called Breath, which can be found in the AUR and is similar enough. That one worked well for me.

You can still use Breeze as SDDM theme, but you have to use any other as the Plasma style.
