Much thanks @seth ! Now everything works fine. About RAM -- maybe I don't quite understand the instructions, but I've tried to build kernel v6.5.9 using /proc/config.gz and running build single threaded. My machine comes with 4 GB of memory and 2 core Celeron processor, so after a long period of time, about 40-60 minutes kernel goes into panic mode and shutting down with something like "cannot allocate memory" message.

You probably want a swap file wink
(4GB are probably enough, but not if you're you're also running 50 tabs in a fat browser on a fancy DE session)

Yeah, there was 2 GB swap partition, but it was never filled more than 200 MB. And also, there was a fresh install of Arch, so no DE, browsers and other stuff, only broken kernel that i was used to run somehow.
