Plasma crapped out after Nvidia driver update [SOLVED]

Hello there!

I seem to be having an issue with Plasma following an upgrade to the system, where Plasma is sort of there, as in, I can bring up Konsole and launch stuff, just that I don't have the desktop and everything seems to be running at 30fps.

What just happened? Cheers, PC specs are at my signature.

Re: Plasma crapped out after Nvidia driver update [SOLVED]

Q. Why do you install the nvidia drivers if you don't have an nvidia GPU?
Edit: just noticed that you just lack a separator behind the TUF wink
Q. How did you update the nvidia drivers when the last real nvidia driver update was in late February?

A. Because none of that is actually relevant, you probably updated to Plasma 6 and are now defaulting to a wayland session?
Does plasma on X11 still behave as expected?
If not, please post your Xorg log, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xorg#General

Plasma defaults to a Wayland session? didn't notice that, I run a UW monitor so I sometimes miss important details on the edges.

So it's probably just a me problem and not a Plasma/Nvidia problem. I have been rarely been using Arch, so I was really out of date. I think the last time I used it was on my birthday in Janurary.

I'll go test it rn to see if I was the issue and not Plasma.

Re: Plasma crapped out after Nvidia driver update [SOLVED]

Update: it was me.

I was being too silly to realize that I hadn't checked the session SDDM was logging me into.

Thanks and have a good one!
