Keyring popup issue? "An application wants access to the private key"

While idling, a popup has recently been reoccurring on my machine.

An application wants access to the private key " Enter passphrase for /home/bestfriend/.ssh/id_ed25519: ", but it is locked

I'm pretty sure that's gnome-keyring. Using xprop on the pop-up, I see that this is gcr-prompter. Using htop, I see that /usr/lib/gcr-prompter is nested under /usr/lib/systemd/systemd --user.

What I don't understand is why it's popping up. I'm not trying to ssh.

This is relatively new behavior, so out of paranoia I haven't entered my password to see if it'll go away.

Any idea?
