How do I properly setup my VPN on Arch?

I'm trying to get Windscribe to work on my PC. I can connect inside the App and the Client shows I'm connected but when I check my IP adress it's still the same. Nothing runs over the VPN. Same goes for VPN connections set up with NetworkManager or other third party clients (WireGuard or OpenVPN)

I haven't used the Windscribe client only Wireguard and OpenVPN. What do your interfaces look like when the VPN is running? (ip a)
What are the routes like? (ip r)
What's the output of the clients?
