[SOLVED] Choose boot systemd target per boot?

Hi.

I use my laptop for my university work, but I also like to run some servers sometimes. For school, I need to use a desktop environment (KDE, Plasma 6, SDDM), but for server use I far prefer the multi-user tty.

I would like to choose between these two options before I boot, or during it, and have it default to one of the two after some time passes with no input (much like my GRUB instance already does when selecting entries).

Maybe I could create separate boot entries in GRUB, maybe hold down a key combination during boot; I really don't care when and how this is done during the boot process, as long as I get to choose every time I boot into my system and one of the options is chosen by default.

What is the best way to achieve this?

create separate boot entries in GRUB

and see the 2nd link below (include kernel commandline parameter to select the target)
