If it' not power saving it's most likely interference… is the phone still lying next to the system?
But, for re-cap: while the flaky wifi coverage there is certainly a functionality problem, I don't think it's causing the system to hard-reboot, esp. not because of the tether tests (unless you had both interfaces active at the time, in doubt try to rfkill the wifi chip while testing the tethered connection)
But even w/o the tethering situation it's extremely unlikely that the wifi causes this - is the CPU load esp. high when plying minecraft (in contrast to other games)?

I doubt it, bg3 is a much more intensive game (as measured by temperature and fan speed, which is admittedly imprecise because it could be either the cpu or gpu that's doing that) and I haven't observed the crash while playing that. I'll have to test properly later with some sort of resource monitor, though

The cpu usage never went above ~30% prior to the crash

Since it just came up again, does https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 2#p2151162 prevent the reboots?

It does not, sadly

Try something like this.
sudo iw dev wl* set power_save off

I too experience sudden reboots with this laptop. Does not appear to be power related at all, because it happens when the laptop is essentially idle.
Its highly repeatable, just by running
vulkaninfo
or
eglinfo
Do these commands trigger the reboot for you as well?
Its variable, but I can trigger a reboot about 10 out of 11 tries with these commands, however if they work, they seem to keep working.
A manual reboot of the laptop sets the commands up to fail again.
Because it's a hard reset, I have not yet been able to capture anything in logs which might point to the cause of the issue.

Those will certainly wake the GPU out of power saving
Have you tried either of

Neither of those commands trigger it for me

Did you solve it? I'm having the same issue but started after i installed windows on a secondary NVMe just for gaming. And now the laptop restarts even when doing nothing, but only on linux.
