[SOLVED] Certain Games Crashing Immediately After Being Launched

What is happening:
As the title says, some of my games are crashing as soon as they are being launched.
Notably, this is not happening to all of my games. The only 2 I have seen experience the issue are Elden Ring and Apex Legends.
Other games that do not rely on Vulkan are not impacted by this issue.
Other games that are not using Easy Anticheat are not impacted by this issue.
I cannot think of any other similarities between these two games that set them apart from the rest of my library.

What I have tried so far:
System update / reboot
Using a different version of Proton
Verifying the integrity of game files
Reinstalling the game
Reinstalling Steam
I have seen a number of similar issue that were resolved by disabling Steam's in-game overlay but this feature is already force-disabled for both of these games (and other games which are not experiencing the issue)

Based on this, I think the issue might have something to do with my graphics drivers but I am not sure what to do with that given my system is already up to date.

on a guess install lib32-radeon-vulkan and radeon-vulkan and remove lib32-amdvlk and amdvlk. Might also want to test disabling the steam shader pre-cache, that sometime leads to wonky states.

Bingo, maybe add {lib32-}vulkan-mesa-layers but your immediate problem will be lib32-amdvlk.

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

it is vulkan-radeon not radeon-vulkan
