CLOSED VirtualBox not seeing USB drive Error: NO_USB_PORTS

THE PROBLEM IS IN GUEST ADDITIONS. I'LL POST AGAIN TOMORROW.

My USB drive is not showing up in my Virtualbox VM.

The external drive on the host performs as expected but VirtualBox does not get it.

In the VirtualBox "add USB filters" dialog, this device shows up (guessing) AS `ASMT ASM1156-PM[0100]` yet it does not appear in the guest's /dev directory.

I don't see a reference to it in the Devices listed in the VM log but I've pasted it here. https://pastebin.com/vyGaBfgX

I see now Error in managemetn GUI

Failed to attach the USB device ASMT ASM1156-PM [0100] to the virtual machine flip.
Failed to create a proxy device for the USB device. 
(Error: VERR_PDM_NO_USB_PORTS).
