couldn't find interface ppp0: no such device
hello I get this:
Couldn't find interface ppp0: No such device
Kernel supports ppp alright.
Couldn't find interface ppp0: No such device
when trying to dial with kppp.
$ lsmod | grep ppp
ppp_deflate 5376 0
zlib_deflate 22168 1 ppp_deflate
ppp_async 10752 1
ppp_generic 29460 7 ppp_deflate,bsd_comp,ppp_async
slhc 6912 1 ppp_generic
some help would really be appreciated.
under the /dev I only have ppp

ok I had to remove the NIC to see that ifconfig now sees ppp0 interface.
can someone explain to me, how this automation fails with my NIC in the MB, and how can I track what is wrong, and do load this ppp0 interface manually
