Installed Arch Linux some weeks ago, all good. Suddenly, despite previously working fine NordVPN refuses to connect to any servers, despite attempting the connection. I can only assume a recent update has caused this. Uninstalled and Reinstalled nordvpn-bin from the aur but still refuses. Internet is fine, all pings work correctly. Anyone else having problems?

AFAICT Nord VPN uses tun kernel module. Did you upgrade the kernel or anything else?
Can you attach the logs?

Thanks for your response. I simply did the usual yay - Syyu to update the system; however I believe you are correct and there was a kernel upgrade.
I have waited a couple of days for the updates to resolve the issue, but as this has not been the case I’ve scrapped my lovely hyprland arch installation and installed a Debian based system with xfce .
Shame, it doesn’t look anywhere near as good - but at least EVERYTHING works as it should. Thanks again for your patience and support.

OK.
Since I sin in this as well, I created this hook and script to notify me whenever the installed and running kernels are different.
PS
This issue will happen on other distros as well.

*sigh*
I am going to leave this as an exercise to the reader to research why this is a bad idea rather than explain it. Again.
