[SOLVED] egpu boot problems

Hi,

When I boot, I mostly get this problem (~60% chance). I think it's random, and happens both from cold and hot boots.
I have a 7800xt razer core x egpu, and run kernel 6.8.1.
This only happens on boot, I can mostly plug in without problems after booting (I say mostly bacause sometimes the case gets recognized, but the gpu isn't initialized.).

I see these 3 messages:

(1 of 3) A start job is running for /dev/disk/by-label-root
(2 of 3) A start job is running for /dev/disk/swap
(2 of 3) A start job is running for Load Kernel Modules

(by-label-root and load kernel modules have 1min 30s timeouts.)
At around 1min load kernel modules will succeed, and after 1min 10s the screen will go black (and stay black).

There are no Journalctl entries for that boot.

first I thought it's related to this post, but it should be fixed with 6.7.5 and up.

edit: fixed by adding the kernel parameter 'amd_iommu=off'. As long as you don't use VMs, this should fuly work as intented. ref https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/amd/-/issues/3182

Why I run Arch? To "BTW I run Arch" the guy one grade younger.
And to let my siblings and cousins laugh at Arsch Linux...
