Hmm, not sure when it happened, my guess was yesterday with the updates. But, guifications are no longer working for gaim, and I have the msot recent version of both, so it's not a version issue, here is the "error":
Error: undefined symbol:gaim_util_fetch_url_request check the plugin websiteOffline
sorry to say, but hte issue lies with the plugin...
u may try recompiling it, but i'm more certain u need a better version.
the undefined symbol error occurs on the new gaim betas, and on the svn version.
this is teh latest versions of g*
community/guifications-2.13beta5-1
unstable/gaim-svn-18019-1
they work together for me at least.

I have latest svn pkg and the plugin works ok for me. Do you have the latest version from the repos twisted? If so I'll need to downgrade to Yawnsville to build the plugin ![]()

Yes - I do
pacman -Q gaim guifications
gaim 2.0.0b3.1-1
guifications 2.13beta5-1if it helps, a friend of mine using arch is also having the same issue.

OK, beta4 and beta5 will not build against the version of gaim in [extra] - so it has been reverted to beta3 - pacman -Syu should downgrade you correctly.

Hmm been about 2hrs now and pacman -Suy has done nothing
. my mirrors may be out of sync or something though.

I previously used guifications, but now I prefer to just use libnotify... It's cleaner, faster, and easier to use, and nothing beats 'notify-send test' to make sure things are working. ![]()
If you use Xfce, notification-daemon-xfce is nice. ![]()
