I recently acquired a LG Studioworks E900B monitor (that is way better than the AOC I had earlier) but I can't get a reasonable refresh rate for some reason.
According to the specs I've found the monitor should be capable of 1600x1200@75Hz (and 1280x1024@80-something) but so far that seems like a no go.
People in #archlinux suggested that I needed a modeline in my xorg.conf so I tried that, unfortunately it had no effect...
gnome-display-properties still says that it's only 50Hz (and if I lower it to 1280x1024 it says 60Hz)
My xorg.conf can be found here: http://pastebin.archlinux.org/489
Someone please help me get this monitor working as it should.

I'm not sure, but...
Try to add
Option "DynamicTwinView" "false"
into Device section.
Also you may use nvidia-settings to set refresh rate and generate proper modelines.
See wiki page.

Thanks!
Option "DynamicTwinView" "false"
Adding that solved it. This community rocks.

This is not a bug in X.
See the wiki page. It is an issue in nvidia.
