outdated nicotine replaces updated nicotine-plus

I really appreciate that nicotine is included in extra tree. The problem is that it replaces nicotine-plus from AUR (in fact, "nicotine" really installs NICOTINE-PLUS) but has an out-of-date version of it. It has been flagged weeks ago with no results. I installed the AUR version of it, which is the newest, but this way every time i make a system upgrade i get this question:

:: Replace nicotine-plus with nicotine from "extra"? [Y/n]

What happens with the official package? Why isn't it updated yet? If it will not be maintained anymore, it shouldn't have this goddamned hateful "replace" line.

Until the extra package is upgraded, add

IgnorePkg = nicotine

to /etc/pacman.conf.

updated, and the AUR package removed as it's a duplication of an [extra] package.

I guess geoip shouldn't be a dependency

it's a dependency for python-geoip AFAIK. It's used to find out in what country peers are located. I don't know if it's optional or required though.

Yeah, well, that's what i meant. I understood that geoip (and python-geoip) are optional, if you want geographical blobkecr (Geo Block). This way, i think phyton-geoip should be just a make-dependence.

Re: outdated nicotine replaces updated nicotine-plus

I have not used nicotine for a while but this 1.2.6 version keeps choking up. No error messages and reasonable cpu spikes (for nicotine). Debug  mode shows nothing. I installed psycho as well and that didnt help.
