Power button doesn't trigger any event when pressed

I installed Arch Linux on my new Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5 16ARP8 laptop and I'm encountering an issue  where pressing the power button doesn't trigger any events. I've tried to diagnose the problem using dmesg -w and evtest, but both methods show no recognition of the button being pressed.

Neofetch:

Output of libinput list-devices for the Power button:

Re: Power button doesn't trigger any event when pressed

Just to be sure: the power button principally works (a long push causes a hard shutdown/reboot)?
Does it generate events in other contexts (windows)?

Yes the button works for shutdown (long press),
Does it generate events in other contexts (windows)?: Don't know what you mean by that.

Re: Power button doesn't trigger any event when pressed

I mean whether a short button press does anything when running eg. windows (or in the UEFI  etcetc) - ie: why do you expect it to generate an event?

Re: Power button doesn't trigger any event when pressed

The short press does nothing even when running windows. I expect it to generate an event, because there is a setting when power button pressed.

Re: Power button doesn't trigger any event when pressed

Where's that setting? KDE?
That's nice, but you effectively don't have such button (might be fixable w/ a BIOS update, see the links I posted)
You likely also have a setting for the calculator key, but if your keyboard has no calculator key, that's irrelevant to you.

Re: Power button doesn't trigger any event when pressed

Yes KDE.
Yeah it seems the short power button press is not supported by laptop. And my problem isn't that important to waste your time on it.
Anyway thanks for the support so far. <3
