can't fully download Hyprland config

I've just installed arch and this is my first experience using linux systems. As the first thing to do, I wanted to install any good-looking Hyprland configuration. I found https://github.com/RumiAxolotl/hyprland-config and wanted this so bad. I have no idea how it should or shouldn't be installed.
Beforehand I installed all required packages and yay.
What i did was clone repository to /.config and run

chmod +x setup.sh
./setup.sh

It did some installing and asked me to start Hyprland. When I typed yes I got blank screen with my mouse only. I pressed something and could see my installation log with error messages. I could see some changes in appearance and bindings but it still wasn't what I wanted.

I'll appreciate all comments and links. I've tried searching myself but I'm clueless what I'm trying to find.
Thank you all very much!!!

Re: can't fully download Hyprland config

Let's recap.  You found some third party guide with their own "configuration" which installs via and absolutely brain-dead and error-infested script that you opted to run without any understanding of it whatsoever.  And it ended badly.

That all checks out and is exactly as any competent archer would expect.  Don't do that.

If you really want help with this, you'll have to ask on the support channels of that "configuration" system that you decided to install.  I'd advise starting from scratch and avoiding doing things that are likely to damage your system: take time to learn how to configure your system the way you want it.

Okay. The problem is that I can't determine whether the script is brain-dead or I am. Maybe I'm too naive to think everyone around knows what they're doing. My bad for being lazy and trying to get something legit instantly with minimal involvement and understanding. I think you are right and It's a good idea to do it myself. That's what I'm gonna do. Thank you a lot!

That's fair.  But particularly in your early days of learning the system, avoid "short cuts" - they never work out in the end.

Also, hyprland in particular - for several reasons which I'll not get into here - seems to attract a lot of new users who then go off to plaster their mistakes all over the internet masked as "how to" guides.  Try to stick to our wiki, or authoritative upstream sources for most software.  By all means search and read information from other sources - but look at them skeptically (especially if they are about hyprland ... or yay).

Re: can't fully download Hyprland config

I apologize for the inconvenience caused by my script not running correctly. I've recently made some fixes and am hopeful that it now functions as intended. This script contains my dotfiles, preserving all my configurations for Hyprland. Initially, I utilized a script from ChrisTitusTech when setting up Hyprland, and I incorporated additional code to install necessary packages for my system. Unfortunately, the modifications didn't yield the desired results, and for that, I'm truly sorry. Recognizing the shortcomings, I've invested time in rectifying the issues, especially after reinstalling Arch last month. I sincerely hope that the script now meets expectations. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
