GNOME White topbar

I have always had the black GNOME top bar with the Dark style selected.
Now the window style is black but the top bar is white.

In GNOME tweaks I found the Light Style system extension enabled.
If I enable Light Style the top bar goes back to black

Some gedit application icons always have a white bar (I've always had a black one).

I don't remember ever having installed the Light style extension which in theory should do the opposite, i.e. make the bar white
