@seth I just tried but switching back to Xorg, I can not reproduce the issue anymore. Most likely after I've set up ibus (after your related comment) it helped coming around the problem (or the daily updates since then fixed it).
Regardless, I'll stay with Wayland for now (I just wish flameshot would play along with it too ).

After some week, I have to refine my statement. Even on Wayland, I still do have an issue, particularly with electron apps like Slack and Discord. I can still click through them after enlarging their window, but it does not seem to happen with any other apps I use daily.

"even" on wayland or "only" on wayland?
"enlarging" them is to "maximize" them?
Have you seen https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=294803&p=3 ?
Recent versions of chromium need to be forced to use the wayland backend (let alone stuff like slack or discord, you can use https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Waylan … s_visually to check what tehy're doing) and from that thread, something weird is certainly going on wrt gnome and maximized windows.

After reading through the comments at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/mutter/-/issues/3404
pkill -HUP mutter-x11-fram
... temporarily fixes this issue until my next reboot

@seth yes, I was hit by the chrome issue 2 days ago after my morning upgrade as well, but I figured it out in a couple of minutes myself
@JimDeadlock I confirm this fixes the issue for me. Let me also comment on that mutter thread, maybe it helps them..

I added the command to .bashrc so I can forget about it
