RAID6+LVM+XFS: do I still need to manually optimize XFS?

I need to configure some new storage and I would like to go "RAID6+LVM+XFS".
I am wondering whether that warning in the wiki still makes sense nowadays:

Warning: mkfs.xfs will not align the chunk size and stripe size for optimum performance (see: Optimum RAID).

Any experience here?
