Laptop: MSI prestige 16 AI evo with intel core ultra 7.
Not sure if it's really related to the CPU/Intel, but the laptop is not waking up from deep sleep. s2idle works fine, but well it's s2idle and power drain is enormous.
hibernate works fine too.
Upon wakeup nothing is responsive, the only way to shutdown is to hold the power button.
Latest journalctl entry is
Apr 27 08:58:29 titania systemd[1]: Reached target Sleep.
Apr 27 08:58:29 titania systemd[1]: Starting System Suspend...
Apr 27 08:58:29 titania systemd-sleep[2057]: Performing sleep operation 'suspend'...
Apr 27 08:58:29 titania kernel: PM: suspend entry (deep)full: http://0x0.st/XHtD.txt
using zen kernel, tried regular, mainline and lts -- same.
same thing with liveusb.
Dualboot with windows, fastboot/hibernate is disabled.
Most posts I found refer to nvidia drivers, but this laptop has only intel ARC.
not even sure where to start given logs are not written upon wake up.

hybernate works fine...

I have the same problem. Massive power drain on the same CPU and the computer does not wake from deep sleep when i enable it.
Strangly though, the 6.8 kernel and s2idle works fine without power drain, so for me, this is a new issue with the 6.9 kernel.
Edit: I have tried the stock Arch kernel, in addition to zen and cachyos kernels. All with the same problem.
Edit: Might be related to this bug report: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=218461 but hard to say.

I have the same exact issue. My hardware is the MSI MSI prestige 13 AI evo (the smaller one from OP). I've tried installing 6.11 and no change. There is no way that I have found to wake from deep sleep. I do not dual boot and fastboot is disabled.

yeah, I have a feeling this might have something to do with MSI BIOS.
For now I'm using s2idle which is more-less fine with a fix for iwlwifi crash (for fix refer to this post: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=293404)
for MSI you might wanna try the "secret" bios menu: once in bios press left alt, right ctrl, left shift and F2 to get access to more settings.
Maybe something around ACPI, but I was not able to find anything that'd fix the deep sleep or iwlwifi crashes
let me know if you'll ever find a solution

I'm facing a similar issue with ROG Strix Scar 2025 model with Core ultra 9. There are no journalctl logs around the time I try to resume from sleep and the keyboard backlit turns back on. Only solution is to shutdown by long pressing power button and restarting. Resuming from sleep does work sometime.
