How to downgrade kernel version from GRUB terminal

So basically, my Arch system won't boot because it gets stuck at 'boot: running early hooks [udev].' I've tried some things, none of which worked, so the only solution that comes to mind is to downgrade my kernel. However, I don't know how to do that. I can't access Pacman; I can only enter a GRUB terminal by pressing 'e' during the Arch boot. From there, how do I actually downgrade the Linux kernel?
