[SOLVED] Dolphin no longer has "open with" context list after update

After I recently updated my computer, Dolphin file manager stopped showing the "open with" applications.

If I right click a file, I find the "Open with" option in the context menu. But it has no suboption. Normally this contains a list of suitable applications to open with.

If I double click a file, I get a window asking me to choose the default application, and the window is empty; it should contain a categorised list of all of my applications.

How can I fix this please?
