[SOLVED] Xfce stucks at startup (desktop files in /autostart/)

Good day everyone!

I have an issue with Xfce, which has occured over a year ago.

The desktop and panel show, and then, while populating the panel, it gets stuck.

I do not know how to approach this issue and I would be glad for assistance.

* When this happened, I have took advantage of this issue to try i3 which is what I use to date.

Did you try to move aside the ~/.config/xfce4/xfconf settings to see whether this is caused by a specific panel config (some widget)?

I think I did try this.

When I am thinking of it, I think I did not do the same for

.config/autostart/

I will try both and report here.

Update 2024-05-21

By further investigating, the issues were:

1) Dino, XMPP client in GTK+ with CSD (client side decoration) which was affected by AUR package gtk3-nocsd-git-r82.512c2bd-1 (no longer exist in AUR).

2) A custom desktop file for playing sound. I am not sure whether it is or is not because the OGG (OGA) file does not exist anymore.
