[SOLVED] Plasma keyboard key repeatation is not working

I'm on KDE Plasma 6. Recently I noticed that holding down a key doesn't generate repeatations. Although key repeatation works in browsers, it doesn't work in terminals or any other place. It doesn't even work in the plasma system settings keyboard test area. I have `Repeat the key` option turned on in the Keyboard menu of Plasma system settings. But still the Test area doesn't repeat any key. What can I do?

neofetch is only good for screenshots on r/unixporn - the most importain information is that about the display server (wayland or X11, plasma defaults to wayland since 6.0) and that's of course missing.
But just from "key repeatation works in browsers, it doesn't work in terminals or any other place" I'll suspect hat you're running a wayland session and switching to X11 will return the autorepeat behavior?

Yes switching to X11 fixes the issue. What should I do? I like wayland better.

Yes it was an IM issue. I was using ibus-wayland. Using Fcitx5 solved the problem thank you.
