Good morning, i'm using gnome desktop since long time, but I recently had to reinstall the OS and some strange visual artifacts/glitches appeared in certain applications like "gnome-settings" or "gnome-files", but also some strange flickering (maybe not related) with "mpv media player".
The visual glitch only occurs while in windowed mode, with normal behaviour in fullscreen mode. Also, if I open any submenu while in fullscreen mode (e.g. right click), it also has the visual glitches.
Here an example screenshot of the artifacts:

It's uncertain whether this is due to a problem with the graphics, drivers or a problem related to the tool used to create the graphical interfaces.
As it only happens with a few applications, I am confused, any suggestions?
Thanks!

I have tried both, downgrading gtk4 to 4.12.5 and adding the variable GSK_RENDERER=gl (as well as other values).
After each change i reboot the system and checked if the environment was correctly sourced.

I'll assume the implication is "didn't help"?
Looking at the screenshot, the artifacts also don't really match what others described itr and also this doesn't seem to fit the description of being limited to some clients - the artifacts cross the entire output.
Please post your complete system journal for the boot:
sudo journalctl -b | curl -F 'file=@-' 0x0.stfor a general overview of the system.

Yup, that didn't help; the journal is here:
