monitor audio not recognized? (pipewire)

hello all, recently i installed arch and i am running into a bit of a brick wall.

i connect my headphones to my monitors audio jack usually, BUT in this instance it is not recognizing said audio jack.
i did some of my own trouble shooting, downloaded qpwgraph to get an interface of what audio devices have been recognized and i see that it is
recognizing my GPU's HDMI output but it isn't recognizing the Display Port? (which is the port i use for my display)

i don't know if this has something to do with my issue but i would appreciate if anyone could lend a hand and steer me in the right direction.

In terms of the "audio devices" hdmi == dp and vice versa. What's your actual situation and which GPU driver/card? Post

i couldn't tell you my situation. whilst my headphones are plugged in i am not able to hear any audio.

"connect" your audio to the HDMI sink in  qpwgraph or pavucontrol or so.

Do you get audio from 

speaker-test -Dhw:0,3 -c2

?

i opened up qpwgraph and as it shows in the ss its connected to firefox via HDMI.

i tried that command "speaker-test -Dhw:0,3 -c2" and it was not recognizing the command.

Please don't embed huge images directly.

Install alsa-utils for speaker-test retry that command, if it looks like it's working but you don't hear any noise, make sure that your monitor isn't muted itself.

FWIW I have a faint recalling that there might be some issues with nvidia's HDA implementation in the current driver, you might want to test https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/nvidia-535xx-dkms
