Which Asus laptop have you?  What GPU does it use?

Re: asus laptop black screen issue

hey man, appreciate such quick response, but would that be ok not to share the exact models and such? like exact hardware details etc... I have nvidia onboard with nvidia's official drivers that I use when needed but on a regular basis intel's HD 630 is in use.

Re: asus laptop black screen issue

If it is important, sure.  But, it could tie our hands a bit.   I have an Asus Vivobook with Intel Iris graphics; no Nvidia.  I set the battery limit.   In general, I have no trouble with this laptop, but did have some initial problems resuming from sleep related to  IRST (Intel rapid start technology).

Re: asus laptop black screen issue

It says that this VDA thing is available only with 11th gen... https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en … emory.html and mine is some gens lower. and like in ur case I don't have related things in the journal... at least for my knowledge. I'm on x11 btw... with wayland it's like way worse than that
