Telegram Desktop consumes all the CPU, RAM and disk

When I am trying to launch telegram it consumes all available resources and get terminated by the OS.
window manager: Hyprland
source: aur, but also tried to run from tar.xz file from official website

I find Hyprland to be a bit experimental.  Can you try Telegram in a different environment?  For example Sway?
