0.7.2-base Pacman.static - error

During Installation after select packages i see window with:
pacman.static = error sad

I have no idea what can be wrong sad

I see some possible reason:
1. file name are in 8.3 format when booting from this CD (under WIndows or another Linux files have correct long names). Under Arch booting it has pacm~1.tgz for ex.

2. I think that right folder should be:
/src/pkg
but on iso is:
/arch/pkg

Sombody have any idea how to resolve this situation without downloading another ISO image & burning new CD sad

There shouldn't be any reason to learn more editor types than emacs or vi -- mg (1)

Re: 0.7.2-base Pacman.static - error

i try to installed tar zxvf pacman*.tgz -C /
But than during installation i have problem with ( " --refresh ... yet ? ") .

Ok, i will download new ISO sad I think that good idea will be change link on the main site (there where i downloaded incorrect ISO image).

About 8.3 format there is problem on TTY3.  TTY 1&2 show file names coreectly

Generally i need small distro like ZipSlack (which i using today) only for MySql databse,php,exim - i hope that Arch linux will be ok big_smile
