[SOLVED] Modules DKMS don't compile

Hi,

I'm trying to install `virtualbox-dkms` and `v4l2loopback-dkms`. VirtualBox doesn't work, reporting "driver not loaded."

When I run the command `modprobe vboxdrv`, I get the following error:

modprobe: FATAL: Module vboxdrv not found in directory /lib/modules/6.9.1-arch1-2

I have `linux-headers` installed.

The command `dkms status` returns empty, and `dkms autoinstall` also returns empty.

This is a fresh install of Arch Linux on a new notebook.

Why don't you use virtualbox-host-modules-arch ? BTW, virtualbox-dkms is not the correct package name, it should be virtualbox-host-dkms .

What, exactly, did you install and what did it say when you installed them?

Uninstalling all VirtualBox packages and `dkms`, then reinstalling them, fixed the issue after a reboot. Now everything works perfectly.
