a friend of mine wanted to install arch, i guided them through by using the wiki guide, they tried burning their usb pen with rufus and the latest iso (we checked the SHA256, it was fine), upon booting the usb pen though, saw that it tried to look for /dev/disk/by-uuid/2024-05-17-04-31-00, it looks through all the disks in /dev/, but seems to not find it at all (for some reason /dev/sdb1 and /dev/sda2 throw ext4 errors, i assume that it's the ntfs partition from windows, dunno though), in any case i'm out of options, i kind of tried everything i could find online relating those issues but i'm just lost, here's a pic of everything that pops up before throwing them in the initramfs terminal
to clarify, the device descriptor issue in itself was solved, i just couldn't get a more recent picture, but all the other errors and messages are still there.
i don't know what other info to give, any idea of what's happening?

Did you use rufus in dd mode? That's imperative to working correctly. Otherwise try pressing e on the arch entry and adding "rootdelay=10" to the end to wait longer for the usb device to appear

adding the rootdelay=10 fixed it, thank you a lot!

Could you please test if rootdelay=4 works? And if it doesn't, which is the smallest value that does.
If all goes according to plan, then July's ISO will wait 4 seconds. If that's not enough, then there's still time bump it up more.
