I just enabled the multilib testing and extra repos, because i wanted to install an eq called pulseeffects from aur. I done makepkg -si, and after some time i got this error. I installed stuff before but never had this problem. Then tried disableing the repos but got the same error after. i cant even do sudo pacman -Sy now. I have no idea how to fix this problem, pls help thankx.

I can not find a package in AUR with the name pulseffects. Do you mean https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/pulseeffects-legacy? Have you tried rebuilding the AUR package after you disabled the testing repositories?

yes the legacy AUR package, not the old pacman one. I tried but pacman is still broken. Before there was also an issue with libicuuc.so.74, but i fixed it by simply deleting the file.

Please post the command you are using to generate the error and the full output the command produces.

It gives me this when running sudo pacman -Syy:
pacman: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libxml2.so.2: undefined symbol: ucnv_open_74

System_maintenance#Partial_upgrades_are_unsupported. Now that pacman is broken due a partial upgrade see Pacman#Using_pacman-static.

I try manually installing this tar package it might fix this issue: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/icu74

All the manually extracted files will not be tracked by pacman. How is that preferable to using pacman-static to restore the system to a consistent state?

Have you resolved the partial update and removed the untracked files?
