[SOLVED] Is pacman slow?

I've just freshly installed Arch on my laptop and am dual-booting it with Windows 11. Except for a few problems with Grub, everything went pretty smoothly so far. However, when I wanted to download some stuff today with pacman, I noticed that it is insanely slow, with about 200Kb/s (I usually have 4Mb/s). I would've just blamed my Wifi, but the part that confuses me is that it's only pacman that is that slow, everything else that I do that needs wifi works at normal speed. And what's even more confusing is that this started today, pacman worked perfectly fine yesterday.

Any ideas what might cause this? I'm not sure what logs or the like I could provide, but feel free to ask for anything you need (except for informations like passwords lol). Thanks in advance

Re: [SOLVED] Is pacman slow?

You probably use the default mirror, which is throttled so people don't hog it because they didn't change their settings.

Ok, turns out it was actually my Wifi, I have no idea why it behaved so weirdly, but at least it's solved now. However...

Yes, you're right, and I fixed it now, thanks for pointing that out.
