I wanted to make this post, because I couldn't find any solutions online. my Thinkpad P52 started having issues crashing, then after a few days of this, it got to a point where he would no longer boot. I couldn’t find anything wrong with it. As a last ditch effort I try checking my ram. The issue was for some reason one of the pairs of ram slots stopped working. It has ram slots and they are paired metal with metal, and plastic with plastic. Each pair has one slot on each side. After making it so I only had ram in the slots with the plastic clips, everything started working again. I’ve no idea if it’s possible to fix the metal clipped ram slots, but it is working again.
I don’t actually need help myself, but I’m still posting this here because I couldn’t find this information online.
