4. How to fix this issue

Hello.
When running `torbrowser-launcher --settings`, you have multiple mirrors to choose from. Try a different one.
Also, you have “Download over system Tor” selected in settings. If you choose this option, you need to have a Tor SOCKS relay running in the first place. The error suggests you don’t have one running, so choosing this option makes no sense.

When i launch `torbrowser-launcher --settings` and choose different mirrors then anyway used only one link for downloading "https://aus1.torproject.org/torbrowser/ … gcc3/x/ALL". Seems this link is hardcoded

Few month ago i install archlinux and install torbrowser without any issue. But later i delete archlinux and install other distro for tesitng some programs. Then i install archlinux again and install same programs and installation of torbrowser was broken. Over 5 last years periodically on archlinux and debian i got this issue with torbrowser installation. But when maintainers update torbrowser-launcher package then all working

Looking deeper, it seems that it’s not even reaching the stage at which the browser itself is being downloaded. It stalls at an attempt to obtain information before the download.
It’s possible your ISP is blocking attempts to obtain Tor Browser. There are recurring reports of this happening. If this is the case, on Arch side not much can be done.
From that I can see four ways of resolving the issue:
Download over other ISP: this should be pretty easy and convenient, if it’s your laptop. Just use another network, if you have access to it.
Download directly: Tor Browser downloads are the same files torbrowser-launcher would download. You just need to verify and unpack them manually, and launch the browser. Electronic Frontiers Foundation also offers the downloads.
Use GetTor: FAQ on GetTor. It’s basically a service, that attempts to share Tor Browser over channels, that are harder to block. But also less convenient.
Obtain over Tor: ultimately circumvents the censorship, but this is going to require most effort. You will need to install Tor relay, let it start (may take a moment), then run torbrowser-launcher, tell it to use relay at 127.0.0.1:9050. After that you may stop the relay and uninstall tor.
Note: please put program output in the

tags. Otherwise it’s interpreted by the forum software.
