xf86-video i810 1.7.2 update

Built it for my laptop. In case some of you are 1. looking for an updated driver or 2. having problems with current one

1.6.5 in package tree. None in testing. Updated version is 1.7.2.

mhakali, Thanks. I had no problem with the current driver but decided to give the upgrade a go. My desktop seems much faster and feels more stable.

Wait, is the above the current version of xf86-video-i810? If so you should flag the one in the repos out-of-date.

The current version is 1.6.5, and is already flaged out-of-date

I think the "current" version is in fact 1.7.3. The above version seems already to be out of date. 1.7.3 also requires an updated libdrm version 2.3

They are talking about upstream, not Arch.

Take it from the arch cvs and update version number.

1.7.3 works well but kills beryl > white screen even with updated libdrm. Will test some more to see why.

I've updated the i810 driver to xf86-video-i810 1.7.3-1. When I cal glxinfo or glxgears it works but I got this error message in the beginning:

DISPATCH ERROR! _glapi_add_dispatch failed to add glAreTexturesResident!
DISPATCH ERROR! _glapi_add_dispatch failed to add glGenTextures!
DISPATCH ERROR! _glapi_add_dispatch failed to add glIsTexture!

According to freedesktops bugzilla this bug should be resolved:

resolved by upgrading libgl-dri
