[solved, workaround] Fluxbox not starting

I just installed fluxbox 1.0rc2.
I have exec fluxbox in my .xinitrc
When I give startx, then fluxbox gives lots of errors saying that Failed to read: some property and that it was setting the default value for the property, and it exits to the console.

Am I doing something wrong?
In earlier versions, everything used to work normally.

You're not already running an X-Server when you try to startx?
Have you tried it as root already? Any differences?
Try "init 3" before you startx.

Same thing when running as root, and no, X was not running when I did this.
This problem also appears on my laptop running Gentoo.

As I said, everything was normal in flux 0.9.15.1. (That's what I am currently using.)

Yeah, that's exactly my problem. Thanks :-)
Right now I'm using a locale of en_GB.UTF-8 instead of en_IN. Except for the currency unit, I don't think it will make a difference. But this is still a workaround. Fluxbox shouldn't stop just because it doesn't have the locale translations.
