How to open application when system starts?

As the title says, I want to open some applications as soon as the system starts and the user logs in. The user is currently set to automatic login (gdm).

In particular I want to automatically open VSCode, because I have a remote computers that I connect to it through VSCode Tunnels.

Sometimes I need to reboot, and if vscode doesn't open, then I cannot connect to it.

I cannot see a way to do it through systemd. When I try to enable vscode it says it doesnt exist. But when I enable some other applications with a service, it doesnt seem to do anything.
